Flatiron and Chelsea dwellers cannot rest on their laurels, and always have to be ready to help! An ambitious group of staffers from “Internet Inc.” – the latest company to take advantage of the North Public Plaza’s great locale to pitch their pet idea, product, cause or obsession – was out in force, stopping Flatiron dwellers to get their suggestions on how to make the Internet better. It being the Flatiron Public Plaza, they of course had a giant prop to help make their case and capture attention, in this case, a giant pen and an oversize suggestion box. Yours truly made a plea that the big companies, like Google, Amazon, Apple, and Netflix, not take over the ether to the exclusion of the small companies that populate our district, and gamely dropped it in the suggestion box. Internet Inc. had their staffers recording the proceedings. They are out in force until 4 PM this Friday, so don’t miss your chance!
