Let’s give a hearty thanks to the folks at Liquid Space, the cutting edge pure-play internet marketplace for the online rental of conference space of all sizes. Jamie Lewis and her crack sales and marketing staff served a heaping helping of top-notch finger food, drinks, and appetizers at OfficeLinks for the staff of their many NY-based venues and other vendors that help make their application the hottest in the online hospitality rental field. Yours truly, along with NYC Seminar Center President Steven Shapiro and Flatiron Hot! News Editor-in-Chief Eric Shapiro, were on hand to partake in the festivities and swap war stories about the conference center biz!
As it happens, NYC Seminar Center, Flatiron Hot! News’ sponsor, is one of the top vendors in the past year in terms of receipts via Liquid Space online bookings. Conversation during the evening centered around how quickly Liquid Space was winning acceptance as a new-age way of booking and paying for space immediately, and how it was helping spread knowledge of and awareness about the many different venues available on short notice for business users of all types. Nanci Anderson, VP of Operations, took some time to address the many Liquid Space sites and their on-hand reps, about the ever-growing sites signing up for Liquid Space, to say nothing of the expanding features and capabilities of the cutting-edge site, which just received a major upgrade. Top on their list of future features – expanded listings and better visibility for larger rooms, to build upon the well-established inventory of standard-sized conference rooms currently easily available in the online marketplace. Based on the positive reception of the attendees at the party, the site partners, including party-hosting site OfficeLinks which showed some really cool office-share environs, Liquid Space must be doing something right! Check out a quick clip of the evenings’ festivities below.
