Popular eatery Pergola again helped usher in the spring weather in the Flatiron and Madison Square Park neighborhoods with a fun and festive sampling of some of its flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, along with an impressive array of tasting stations set up to display popular wines and spirits for area businesses and neighbors. Well on its way to becoming a Flatiron tradition each spring, and badly needed after a cold and lengthy winter season, this year’s “Enchanted Forest” event was aptly named, as Pergola’s unique decor (as a former floral showroom smack in the middle of the historic flower district) made one feel as if one had really left the streets of Flatiron and Chelsea and descended into an Edenic retreat!
Flatiron Hot! News staffers sampled wines, a bracing vodka drink, and some delectable finger foods, before settling in to enjoy the live band in the rear. Thank you, Pergola! Area denizens, make sure you stop by Pergola at West 28th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues to take part in the fun. Pergola, as NYC Seminar Center patrons know, has been offering discounts to selected area businesses for some time, and according to the staff, many people have been in to take advantage of them. Our friends at Pergola tell us their masterful Executive Chef Nestor Moina and sidekick and chief “Mixologist” Scott Fitzgerald have cooked up an unmatched series of creations for the coming Spring and Summer season, and provided Flatiron Hot! News with a sneak peak of their new menus and offerings – click here! And, here’s a quick video clip for people who may have missed the fun on Tuesday evening!
