Comedian and actor Kevin Hart was in Flatiron Public Plaza today from 11am to 1pm, just a few steps away from NYCSCC, doing jumping jacks, cracking jokes, spreading smiles, and inspiring people to take their health into their own hands. He, along with actress, journalist, television host, and professional wrestler Maria Menounos, was helping Rally Health launch their Rally On The Road tour, which is bringing healthy living all across America through family-friendly games and personalized goals. At the event, people could play spin-the-wheel, answer true or false questions, go through an exercise course, and receive free Citi Bike day passes.
Rally Health is a digital health program whose forward-thinking mission is to simplify and personalize the health care experience so that you can make simple changes in your daily routine, set goals for yourself, and track your results online. With the mentality of “small steps lead to success,” they offer customized recommendations to make positive changes, and support long-term engagement by employing a reward system that gives its user Missions, which they can complete to obtain coins to use toward sweepstakes. Their effectiveness really shows – a Rally user from Illinois exclaimed that “it truly motivates me to move and live a healthy lifestyle. I’ve dropped 35 lbs. the healthy way – no fad diets or pills – just good old exercise and watching what I eat”. Rally Health really shows that being healthy doesn’t have to be hard, and that everyone can make their health a priority and focus on improving themselves physically and mentally.
Hart has been a long-time partner of Rally Health. He became Rally’s first health ambassador on April 23rd, 2015, and has encouraged consumers to take a more active role in their health through urging his fans to move more, eat better, and take better care of themselves during his “What Now” comedy tour, hosting a free health festival at Rockefeller Park, San Francisco, and LA, and participating in many Rally events. As one of their ambassadors, he educates and motivates people to make better, more informed decisions about their health, leveraging Rally’s engagement platform and encouraging incentives to support long-term lifestyle and behavioral changes.
Hart hopes to inspire better health through his advocacy and comedic acts. “I really do believe that laughter is the best medicine. Not only does it make you feel good, but I love knowing that it’s actually good for you, too. […] I love the Rally Health mission and couldn’t be more excited to work with the Rally Health team to help consumers laugh a little more and make better decisions about their health and well-being.”
Check out Rally Health’s Twitter feed to see Kevin Hart doing jumping jacks and Maria Menounos working out, or their Instagram to be motivated by Hart’s epic sprinting. The tour is making nine more stops in the next three months, so make sure to check out their website to see if they’re coming to a city near you, and if you go, don’t forget to take a picture and post it with the hashtag #RallyOnTheRoad.
