As befits this very cold time of year, with record low temperatures, Match.com did its best to keep Flatiron denizens thinking about the heat that can be generated by true love! On my way to work, I saw an eye-opener – a giant ice sculpture urging all to “chill out” with their loved ones, and what better way to do this than to take advantage of Match.com – the peripatetic dating site – and its offer for one week of free service for those who take their picture in front of their over-sized ice sculpture and reference it on Instagram using the hashtag #webelieveinlove. I saw several people taking advantage of this social media photo-op on the way to work – and couldn’t resist having a picture of my own taken, as well! The chill out ice sculpture will surely take its place next to the long list of memorable visuals that have populated our Flatiron Public Plazas over the years.
