Yoga is becoming an increasingly popular style of exercise and wellness activity around the world. People practice yoga to reduce stress and anxiety and improve overall health. For some, yoga is a spiritual exercise, allowing them to look within themselves. The Flatiron/Chelsea area of Manhattan is home to the world-famous Yogi, Sri Dharma Mittra, and the Dharma Yoga Center. Flatiron Hot! News recently had the opportunity to conduct a video interview with Sri Dharma and take a tour of the yoga center.
The core of yoga is the ability to meditate. Dharma Mittra states, “without concentration, you cannot succeed.” He explained that when you are able to focus on the purpose, you will become more powerful in your work. The key to a successful yoga experience is a constant practice. With practice, you will gain the increased enthusiasm and inner peace you desire.
Dharma Mittra will be in London, England from February 22nd to 24th, for “A Celebration of Yoga, Teaching & Liberation”, an event hosted by the Indaba Yoga Studio at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. Discussing his upcoming London event, Sri Dharma said that participants can look forward to learning the art of mastering yoga and achieving an understanding of its key principles. Sri Dharma states his purpose for hosting workshops is to share the beauty of the yoga technique and to see the growth in the physical condition and spirituality of his students.
In London, Sri Dharma Mittra will teach five classes on the different styles of yoga; based on everything he told us, it is not something you will want to miss if you are in London!
