Memorial Day is our annual opportunity to remember and honor those who died while serving their country. The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting a free Memorial Day weekend historic walking tour on Sunday, May 26, 2019. This year’s theme is “From Decoration Day to Memorial Day.” The 90-minute tour will be hosted by historian and author Miriam Berman. Guests can expect to hear amazing stories about what was then called Decoration Day in the early 1900s but is now known as Memorial Day.
