NYC Summer Restaurant Week in Flatiron District

The Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership recently reminded us that beginning next week,  Monday, July 22nd through Tuesday, August 16th, is New York City Restaurant Week. You’ll be able to savor some of the best restaurants in NYC. This year, over 370 of the city’s best restaurants offer special prix-fixe meals in many locations, including the Flatiron District.

The  Flatiron District hosts over 2,200 restaurants, bars, and casual dining establishments. Twenty of these restaurants are participating in NYC Restaurant Week.  Read the list below, provided by the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership, for which restaurant to dine at next week after your conference at the New York City Seminar and Conference Center.. 

Almond Restaurant, 12 East 22nd Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue, (212) 228-7557

Flatiron farm-to-table favorite, Almond, creates innovative recipes with seasonal fresh produce and locally attained sustainable seafood. For NYC Restaurant Week, Almond is featuring a Chilled Avocado Soup, Charred Eggplant Ricotta Ravioli, and a Pan Roasted Halibut.

 BLACKBARN, 19 East 26th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue, (212) 265-5959

Another farm-to-table favorite, BLACKBARN serves local, artisanal food in a modern barn setting. A James Beard Award recipient, BLACKBARN does not disappoint from brunch through dinner.

BO’s Kitchen & Bar Room, 12 East 22nd Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue, (212) 228-7557

 The influence of New Orleans, Montauk, and New York flavor is recognizable in the new-American style tapas and dishes at BO’s Kitchen & Bar, and their classic cocktails remain fresh by the season. This NYC Restaurant Week, BO’s will be serving up Crispy Alligator, Canadian Salmon, and Fried Chicken, along with a choice of Gelato or Monkey Bread for dessert.

Bread & Tulips, 365 Park Avenue South, between East 26th and 27th Streets, (212) 532-9100 

Inspired by the diversity of flavor throughout the Italian regions, Bread & Tulips is a cozy neighborhood restaurant with homemade pizza and pasta. For Restaurant Week, full lunch and dinner menus feature Steak Tagliata, Tuscan Kale Salad, Creste di Gallo con Salsiccia, and Long Island Duck Breast with Soave Classico, 2017, Italy, offered with dinner.

Dos Caminos Park Avenue, 373 Park Avenue South, between East 26th and 27th Streets, (212) 294-1000 

James Beard Foundation Award winner, Dos Caminos, was voted number 1 margarita in New York City. Dos Caminos will also be offering three-course prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus of authentic Mexican cuisine, including a Sandia Salad, Tamal Dumplings, and Dos Enchiladas.

HANJAN, 36 West 26th Street, between 6th Avenue and Broadway, (212) 206-7226

Inspired by the ‘joomak,’ an old Korean tavern that offered weary travelers good food, good drinks, and a place to rest, Chef Hooni Kim replicate Korean street market-style cuisine. For Restaurant Week, the menu includes wild Japanese yellowtail sashimi, BBQ wagyu beef short rib, and fresh noodles.

ilili 236 Fifth Avenue, between Fifth Avenue and Broadway, (212) 683-2929

Contemporary Mediterranean restaurant, ilili, serves premiere Lebanese cuisine. Well-known for its hors-d’oeuvres and cocktails, ilili combines sophistication with the exploration of taste.

Junoon, 27 West 24th Street, between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, (212) 490-2100

Michelin starred from 2012 to 2019, Junoon’s menu covers all of the bases of Indian cooking, from tandoor to cast-iron and open-fire-pit cooking to stone-searing. For NYC Restaurant Week 2019, Junoon is offering extensive lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus including Pork Mudu Chili, Watermelon Chaat, Hara Kofta, and Kulfi Pops.

La Pecora Bianca, 1133 Broadway, between 26th Avenue and 25th Avenue, (212) 498-9696

La Pecora Bianca utilizes local produce, fish, meat, and grains to make pasta from scratch. Seasonal dishes along with fresh negronis and spritzes make this classic Italian spot an all-around experience. For Restaurant Week, make a reservation to try the Tuscano Salad, Graminga, and Chocolate Mousse.

Leonelli Taberna, 7 East 27th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue, (212) 451-9495

Leonelli Taberna is the crossover between Italy and New York of the past. Through Chef Benno’s travels, he has been able to latch onto the flavors of Italy, incorporating them into the American dining experience. For Restaurant Week, Tuscan Fried Chicken and Eggplant Parmigiana will be served alongside a red or white wine pairing.

Merakia, 5 West 21st Street, between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, (212) 280-1950

Merakia is a Greek word used to describe something done with passion, creativity, and love; that’s just what you find at Merakia in the Flatiron District. For NYC Restaurant Week, the Greek Meats House will be serving a three-course dinner featuring Feta Psiti, Lamb Chops, and Baklava for dessert.

Park Avenue Summer, 360 Park Avenue South, between East 25th and 26th Streets, (212) 951-7111Swapping both decor and menus with the seasons, Park Avenue is an ever-changing experience. For NYC Restaurant Week, Park Avenue Summer is offering a two-course lunch and three-course dinner filled with fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables perfect for the sunny season.

The Flatiron Room, 37 West 26th Street, between 6th Avenue and Broadway, (212) 725-3860The Flatiron Room, best known for its more than 400 varieties of whiskey, also delivers an array of perfectly simple dishes. This Restaurant Week, The Flatiron Room is serving Panko Crusted Portobello Fries, Chimichurri Steak Bites, and a Chocolate Oblivion for dessert.

Obicà Mozzarella Bar Pizza e Cucina, 928 Broadway, between 21st Street and 22nd Street, (212) 777-2754

Obica is known for its signature Mozzarella di Buffalo Campana DOP from Italy and fresh homemade pasta. Obica currently offers a summer menu with light and flavorful dishes.

Quality Eats has revolutionized the New York Steakhouse experience with off-cut steaks, creative cocktails, and tasty desserts. The NYC Restaurant menu includes Grilled Nueskes Bacon, the Quality Eats Burger, and a Charred Steak Salad.

For NYC Restaurant Week, Scarpetta is serving a creamy Polenta, Branzino, and Roasted Chicken in an elegant setting.

Tarallucci e Vino, 44 East 28th Street, between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue, (212) 779-1100With loft spaces, full-service caterings, morning pastries, and fresh pasta, Taralucci e Vino is the full Italian cuisine experience. For Restaurant Week, the prix-fixe menus include a local Burrata antipasto, ricotta, and spinach truffle ravioli, and Branzino.

Trattoria Italienne, 19 West 24th Street, between Sixth Avenue and Broadway, (212) 600-5139Chef Jared Sippel derives his dining experience in Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Featured on the prix-fixe NYC Restaurant Week menu is Ratatouille, Grilled Ocean Trout, and Fettuccine.

Zero Otto Nove, 15 West 21st Street, between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, (212) 242-0899Originally opened in the Italian hub of the Bronx, Zero Otto Nove now thrives in the Flatiron district. For Restaurant Week, some menu highlights include Branzino al Acqua Pazza, Insalata Caprino e Pera, and Brasato alla Peroni.
