Are you tired of pubs and crowded bars at happy hour? Do you like restaurants with ample floor space? Are you a beer enthusiast? Then Flatiron Hall is the place for you! Flatiron Hall is a restaurant and beer hall located on 26th Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway, practically around the corner from the NYC Seminar and Conference Center. This is a perfect place for happy hour deals or food after your meeting at the conference center.

Everything about Flatiron Hall is unique. First, you enter the hall through elevator doors that have been converted to Dutch doors. The interior of the hall has a Victorian-style flare, with an impressive 25-ft bar. The walls are covered with dark green wood paneling coupled with black and white wallpaper. There is framed artwork displayed throughout the interior to add to the old-time look. Be sure to check out the downstairs level, with another bar surrounded by exposed brick walls and artwork.

There are 12 draft beers on rotation, as well as wine and cocktails. The servers were friendly and checked up on us periodically. I ordered the Paloma cocktail off the happy hour menu and my colleague ordered the Burger Royale. The Paloma had a pleasant, citrus flavor, with balanced ingredients and was not too strong. The Burger Royale was a sizeable meal containing a beef patty, onion rings, cheddar cheese, bacon, and a garlic aioli sauce. My colleague reported that it was a delicious burger, and highly recommends it if you have a big appetite, or at least friends to help you out!

The hall starts to get busy right around 5 pm, just when the work day is ending. Despite the rush of people, there are still plenty of seats throughout the two floors. There are high top tables seating 2-6 people and also regular tables along the walls. No matter what occasion or how big the party, there will be seating for you. For larger parties, you can call to make a reservation ahead of time. You can also host a private or semi-private event. You are guaranteed a fun time, good drinks, and delicious food at Flatiron Hall!
