Do you ever need a pick-me-up in the middle of your day? Do you ever feel the need to stop off for some coffee before heading into work? One of the great things about the Flatiron District is that there are coffee shops everywhere! Grab a cup for a boost of energy before sitting down for a meeting at the NYC Seminar and Conference Center. Scroll through this list for excellent coffee options around the area. Birch Coffee – 21 East 27th Street, between Fifth Avenue & Madison Avenue, (212) 686-1444

Birch Coffee is roasted in Long Island City and brewed fresh in multiple locations across New York. What makes its Flatiron location so special is the extensive lending library. It’s the perfect place to curl up with a good book and a great cup of coffee.

Bluestone Lane Coffee – 902 Broadway, between 20th Street & 21st Street, (718) 374-6858

Located in Made by We, WeWork’s new community gathering space that offers on-demand work stations. Bluestone Lane partnered with Made by We to bring a cafe to the storefront. Bluestone Lane is an Australian-inspired coffee, cafe and lifestyle brand providing an escape for Flatiron locals through premium coffee and delicious healthy eats – including a sought-after avo toast. Gasoline Alley is the perfect place for any coffee connoisseur who wants a no-frills coffee experience in a fast-paced environment. The simplistic preparation and location make Gasoline Alley a great place to enjoy an easy and delicious beverage.

At Le Café Coffee, the goal is to provide high quality and high-end coffee without being unapproachable. They want you to be able to enjoy an amazing cup of coffee in a comfortable and relaxed environment. And while you’re there, make sure to try their pastries and sandwiches, too.

Leonelli Focacceria e Pasticceria – 7 East 27th Street, between 27th Street and 28th Street, (212) 451-8485

Leonelli is a bakery and café inspired by the great bakeries of Rome and New York’s rich history of Italian-American pastry shops. Come in and enjoy a cup of La Colombe coffee including a custom Leonelli house drip blend, cold brew, cold draft latte, and the” Frappinelli” – Leonelli’s version of a tasty blended coffee drink. Head upstairs with your coffee for a hidden cookbook library. The Bomboloni (a soft, pillowy donut with chocolate-hazelnut filling topped with hazelnut) is truly incredible.

Step inside maman and transport yourself to the South of France. This adorable neighborhood favorite serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Come and enjoy a killer cup of coffee. Grab a nutty chocolate chip cookie that Oprah dubbed one of her 2017 favorite things, or a beignet bursting with Nutella. Starting Friday, September 6, maman will be collaberating with Man Repeller for a Fashion Week specialty drink. Make sure to try the Oatmeal Cookie Latte while it is still available!

Patisserie Chanson – 20 West 23rd Street, between Fifth Avenue & Sixth Avenue, (929) 423-8880

Patisserie Chanson is an upscale, French cafe and pastry shop that will make mornings something to look forward to. Explore the flavors of Chanson’s Stumptown cafe blends made by baristas specially trained in creating aromatically delicious lattes, macchiatos, and cappuccinos. Pair your cup of coffee with a Kouign-Amann, a flaky French pastry that resembles a croissant, but is unique on its own.

As one of Flatiron’s newest neighbors, Poster House offers more than just an incredible museum, they also have a top notch coffee shop! Café des Affiches is open to the public whenever the museum is open. And with Counter Culture coffee, Dr. Brew Kombucha and treats like Molasses Spice cookies and Chocolate Caramel brownies, good luck keeping us away!

Ralph’s Coffee – 160 Fifth Avenue, between 20th Street & 21st Street, (212) 627-2040

Ralph’s Coffee has locations globally, but the first-ever freestanding Ralph’s Coffee Shop recently debuted in the Flatiron District. Whether you sport the Ralph Lauren brand on the daily, consider yourself a coffee connoisseur, or you simply enjoy an aesthetically pleasing place to sit, Ralph’s Coffee is a spot for anyone who lives or works in the Flatiron District.

Seven Grams Caffe – 76 Madison Avenue at 28th Street, (212) 779-0777

Seven Grams is a minimalist coffee shop featuring fresh-roasted craft coffee, house-baked sweet and savory pastries. The name is an ode to an Italian standard which states that the perfect shot of espresso is made using exactly seven grams of ground coffee. The spacious shop has plenty of seating. Seven Grams’ Banana Bread is a crowd favorite.
