Crompton Ale House is a beer hall located on 26th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Just a short walk from the NYC Seminar and Conference Center, this is a perfect place to go for happy hour after your meeting or to spend time with coworkers off the clock. There are over 40 beers to choose from, along with wine, cocktails and a gin menu. If you are in the mood for something to eat, there is an extensive menu featuring appetizers, quesadillas, salads, burgers, flatbreads and more. The interior of Crompton Ale House is decorated with dark wood with a sizable bar on one side and a bookcase lining the opposite wall with real books! There are multiple TVs lining the entire wall space, playing various games. If you are a sports fan, this is the perfect place to catch a game with friends. The Crompton can accommodate any size party, with various-sized tables and ample floor space.
I tried the Original Sin Apple Cider which had a crisp apple taste. For my meal, I ordered the 26th Street Salad, which was made with mixed greens, dried cranberries, almonds, apples and goat cheese. If you are looking for lighter fare, this salad was perfect. It was just the right amount of food to be filling, but not heavy. The servers were friendly, attentive, and checked on us frequently.
I would highly recommend visiting Crompton Ale House. The hall has a relaxed vibe with friendly staff and good drinks. You could even watch a game or two with friends. You can call the Crompton at 212-658-0089, or email at contact@cromptonalehouse.com.
